Honda TRX 700xx
« on: February 01, 2015, 08:59:29 PM »
I just picked up a near new 2008 Honda TRX 700xx with a title.  It is the black/grey model.  I have owned a couple of Honda's in my time, but had not considered the 700xx.  In northeast Wyoming here, there are some great trails.  I have taken the Kodiak out a few times, and it is a blast, but not the same as a sport quad in the snow.  When I came across the 700xx for a great deal I figured, "What the hell, I will give it a try."  I took it out last weekend when I picked it up, and fella's I was very impressed.  It is a lot of fun, and took me by surprise.  Great bottom end torque, and very comfortable.  It is by far my favorite trail quad.  It did everything well, and it was the choice of the 3 machines that we had out that day.  700xx, Kodiak, Raptor700.  You guys know I really like my Raptor's, but I must say the 700xx is a much better trail machine IMO.  Although, the only things I don't like about the 700xx is the very tall reverse gear, and the stock tires that I plan on changing very soon.  Anyway, I hope you guys are doing well, and I will try to make it back to Colorado to ride with you guys this year, just don't be shocked if I bring the Honda for the trails. cheers

Nice pick up jason. the only thing really bad I've heard about the 700xx is  the tall 5th gear and the odd bolt pattern. But the tall 5th gear was meant for the desert so it might be worth a try and see what it raps all the way out to. The second issue can be easilly changed with some hub spacers with a 4-110 bolt pattern so you get some variety in wheel selection if you feel the need.
At one point in time I had something important here, but until then..........................I like BOOBIES!!!!!!!

Thx fella's, I will keep you all posted when I plan on getting away to Colorado again.  Thx Johnny for the info on the Honda.  Yeah Dale, I hear the 3 mod helps them out a lot.  But for now, it's looking like wheels with a better off set, and new tires.
